Minutes
Arkansas Association for Food Protection
Business Meeting
Oct. 8, 2009
Tyson Foods, Springdale, Ark.

President Mike Sostrin called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. A quorum of the membership was found to be present.

As this was the first business meeting of the AAFP, there was no old business to cover.

New Business

Sostrin proposed that the constitution and by-laws as displayed on the chapter web site be ratified. A motion was made and seconded and the proposal was approved by voice vote.

Sostrin proposed that a conflict-of-interest policy prepared by Treasurer Scott Stillwell be ratified. A motion was made and seconded and the proposal was approved by voice vote.

Sostrin proposed that because the chapter is only a few months old and still in the process of organizing itself that the current slate of officers be retained in their current offices until the next election a year from now. Those officers are Mike Sostrin, president; Steven Ricke, president-elect; Hillary Hagan, vice president; Dave Edmark, secretary; ad Scott Stillwell, treasurer. A motion was made and seconded and the proposal was approved by voice vote.
