RE: Arkansas Association for Food Protection Conference

Serving as this year’s AAFP President and with Jerri Lynn Pickett of Tyson Foods as our Vice President, we are honored to present the early details of the Agenda for our upcoming annual food safety conference. The award winning conference will be September 16th-18thon the Fayetteville Square with it’s beautiful surroundings and restaurants. We will have a slate of Industry Influencers and Speakers from Academia, FDA, USDA, Cannabis, Produce, Food Defense, Consulting, and much more!

Our tentative schedule below:

  • Monday, Sept 16th : ½ day vendor setup, poster competition and opening reception

  • Tuesday, Sept 17th : Presentations, vendors, poster display and a Networking reception (lunch will be provided)

  • Wednesday, Sept 18th : Presentations, vendors, and poster display (lunch will be provided)

This conference is a great option if you can’t get to the National IAFP Conference. We will have presentations covering a wide range of emerging issues and innovations.

  • Food Safety Law

  • The FDA Recall Coordinator will update us on the FDA Recall Process

  • A Recall Panel – representing all areas including FDA, USDA, Insurance, Industry Consulting, Industry personnel

  • Produce and Poultry sector updates

  • CDC, FDA, and USDA updates

  • Grain, Rice and rice by-products for pet & animal feed

  • Genome Sequencing, microbiomes, bioinformatics and cyber security applications for food safety.

  • Pet food/Animal Feed and Live Production segments

  • Expanded Vendor presentations
